Jakub is our international media expert based in London. He has over 10 years experience running projects in the media space as a former journalist and media manager. He has written for the Financial Times and The Economist and served as Chief Editor and then CEO of the Kyiv Post in 2013-14. Under his leadership the Kyiv Post became the first Ukrainian recipient of the Missouri School of Journalism Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism.

Following an MBA at INSEAD, Jakub joined McKinsey in London in 2015-2018. There he worked with leading players in the banking, pharma, construction and telecommunications industries, as well as public sector institutions on projects focusing on digital strategy, advanced analytics and change management.

Jakub is an editor-at-large of TheFix, a trade magazine about European media and Chairs the board of the Media Development Foundation (MDF), a non-profit media NGO. MDF runs one of the largest internship programs for early career journalists in Europe, as well as accelerator programs helping CEE media.

He is the Managing Partner of Jnomics Media, which helps media across the CEE region build sustainable operating models, and serves as an adviser for multiple start-ups in the communication space.

Jakub holds Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Gdansk and Political Science from the Central European University.
